New York's highest court of appeals has held that no-fault insurers cannot deny no-fault benefits where they unilaterally determine that a provider has committed misconduct based upon alleged fraudulent conduct. The Court held that this authority belongs solely to state regulators, specifically New York's Board of Regents, which oversees professional licensing and discipline. This follows a similar recent ruling in Florida reported in this publication.
Chiropractor Dr. Alessandra Colón on "The TODAY Show"
Alessandra Colón, DC, star of the TLC reality Series “Crack Addicts,” appeared on NBC’s “The TODAY Show" (also known simply as "TODAY") on Tuesday, Jan. 23, at 9:00 a.m. EST. Her segment was titled, “Myth vs. Fact: Everything You Need to Know About Optimal Body Alignment from a Chiropractor."
In addition to NBC TV, the show was also accessible via TODAY.com, Apple TV, FireTV, Peacock, Roku and YouTube, according to the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress, which helped Dr. Colón craft talking points for her segment.
