Each year MPI's annual Weeklong Advanced Seminar provides members of the chiropractic profession the model opportunity to further advance their learning and skills through a superb seminar program.
This spring's list of speakers will include some of chiropractic's finest:
John Triano, M.A., D.C., will speak on conservative management, research, and assessment. His lectures will address the conservative management of idiopathic scoliosis patients; current research and manipulation biomechanics; assessment and management of the chronic back pain patient.
Joseph A. Cimino, D.C. will offer compelling information on Therapeutic Muscle Stretching. His course is designed to assist the doctor of chiropractic in the diagnosis and treatment of biomechanical structural abnormalities of the myofascial ligamentous structures of the body.
Charles R. Herring, D.C. has a message to share when it comes to x-ray components and intersegmental analysis and that is -- To measure is to know; otherwise you guess! Dr. Herring's course renders templating and overlay studies non-specific and outdated. His methods are easy to learn and easy to use. Learn to prove the presence of ligamentous damage. This course encompasses many of the procedures and techniques every DC in practice needs to KNOW, not guess.

Many relevant diagnostic signs are not performed deliberately by the examiner or by the patient at the examiner’s direction. They are observed as the patient reacts to their condition. Fortin’s finger sign, Minor’s sign, and Vanzetti’s sign are three examples of this principle.
Spearheaded by burgeoning scientific and clinical research literature, psychedelics have reached a level of media coverage and popular interest that has not been seen for over half a century. By “psychedelics,” we are referring to the unique class of substances that includes psilocybin (the active compound found in so-called “magic mushrooms”), LSD, dimethyltryptamine (DMT), ayahuasca, 5-MeO-DMT, and mescaline – each of which occurs in the natural world (except for LSD, which is a semi-synthetic compound).
While working at the Lovelace Medical Center in Albuquerque, N.M., one of the primary care physicians stated that imaging every patient prior to receiving chiropractic was not medically necessary. It was at that point I reconsidered the need for the imaging of every patient to avoid malpractice.
