CCA Supports Consortium in a Big Way

Editorial Staff

When the board of directors of the California Chiropractic Association (CCA) met in February, the CCA once again showed its support of chiropractic research by presented the Consortium for Chiropractic Research (CCR) with a check for $23,447.75.

"CCA member doctors are dedicated to their leadership role in funding these necessary studies, " said Dr. Willard Smith.

Over the past six years, the CCA, the nation's largest chiropractic state association (some 4,000 members), has donated $420,501.90 to the Consortium.

The CCA was a founding member of the Consortium; its educational affiliate, the California Chiropractic Foundation (CCF), is a Consortium institutional member.

"All of chiropractic benefits from these donations and research," said Dr. Meeker. He expressed his deep appreciation of the CCA members for opening their "hearts and pockets..."

The CCR is composed of chiropractic colleges, research institutions, and associations who seek to advance chiropractic by cooperative scientific research and the improvement of patient care.
