Health Canada Grants Approval To The K-Laser Class 4 Therapy Laser

Health Canada is the Federal department responsible for helping Canadians maintain and improve their health. On June 6, 2011 Health Canada granted a Medical Device License to K-LaserUSA for the K-Series Class 4 Therapy Laser, clearing the way for Canadian Health Care Providers to offer K-Laser treatments to their patients.

Health Canada regulates medical devices to be sure they are safe and effective, and are honestly, accurately and informatively represented to the public. Therapeutic lasers apply a low dosage of red or infrared laser light to deliver pain management, reduce inflammation and enhance tissue healing. Photobiomodulation is the term embraced by the North American Association for Laser Therapy (NAALT) for this process.

K-LaserUSA is the exclusive North American distributor of the K-Laser Class 4 therapy laser. The K-Laser first gained clearance by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in March 2005, and since then K-LaserUSA has been setting the standard in Class 4 laser therapy.

The K-Series laser features power adjustable up to 12 Watts; selectable dual therapy wavelengths; 55 therapy presets; continuous wave, pulsed and intense superpulsed modes; onboard battery power for treatment portability; and a color touch screen display. The K-Laser is lightweight and portable, yet is the most powerful Class 4 therapy laser on the market. K-LaserUSA also delivers exceptional education, training, client and product support.

Doctors of Chiropractic, Medical Doctors, Physical Therapists and other health care providers, including the New York Yankee athletic trainers, have been using the K-Laser in the US to target pain management, inflammation reduction and enhanced tissue healing. K-Laser treatments are effective care for a wide variety of neuromusculoskeletal complaints, and are virtually free of side effects.

The Therapeutic Products Directorate of Health Canada contributes to the health of Canadians by assessing the safety, efficacy and quality of medical devices. On June 6, 2011, K-Laser was granted license number 86273 for the K-Series Class 4 therapy laser. Doctors seeking more information are encouraged to call 866-595-7749, visit the company website at www.k-laserusa.com or visit the Facebook page at www.facebook.com/4klaser.
