Dr. Jean Moss, who graduated from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in 1971 and assumed the presidency in 1990, will step down from her position effective June 30, 2014.
"It is a bittersweet milestone. Jean leaves an extraordinary legacy of innovation and success, and very large shoes to fill," said Dr. Mark Symchych, chair of the CMCC Board of Governors.
We conducted an extensive interview with Dr. Moss following her retirement announcement; look for a feature article that includes excerpts from that interview in an upcoming issue.
With the National Football League season in full swing comes the announcement that Logan University and the St. Louis Rams recently entered into a three-year partnership that names Logan's College of Chiropractic the "official chiropractic college" of the NFL team. According to the announcement, Logan is the only chiropractic college in the U.S. to have such an agreement in place.
"The St. Louis Rams are proud to partner with Logan University, one of the nation's leaders in chiropractic education," said Bob Reif, executive vice president of the St. Louis Rams. "Chiropractic treatments are essential to the health and wellness of our Rams players, and Logan alumnus, Dr. Mike Murphy, has been treating our world-class athletes for several years. With this partnership, we are pleased to deepen our relationship with one of the most prestigious schools in chiropractic education."
