ACC-RAC 2003: Association of Chiropractic Colleges X Plus Research Agenda Conference VIII

Meeting Dates Set for March 13-16, 2003; Omni Hotel, French Quarter, New Orleans

By Editorial Staff

ACC-RAC 2003 follows the successful precedent started with last year's landmark conference, which combined two of the most important educational and scientific meetings in chiropractic for the first time. Traditionally, the Association of Chiropractic Colleges (ACC) meeting emphasized educational structure, administration, and teaching, while the Research Agenda Conference (RAC) focused on the development of scientific knowledge, skills, and attitudes. The combination of the two programs will continue to enhance and nurture the natural relationship between chiropractic scholarship and education.

The program will have broad appeal to the entire profession, not just the educational and scientific communities in chiropractic. Practitioners, policy-makers, and anyone who wants to keep abreast of the latest developments in chiropractic science will find exciting cutting-edge presentations on a variety of topics, including subluxation and adjustment physiology, biomechanics, chiropractic technique, effectiveness of chiropractic care, and important issues related to the training of chiropractic practitioners, educators and investigators. The theme of this year's meeting is "Diversity," with multifaceted presentations and discussion groups centered around this highly relevant topic.

The 2003 conference will be jointly sponsored by the Bureau of Health Professions of the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration, the Association of Chiropractic Colleges, and the NIH, National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine through the Consortial Center for Chiropractic Research.

An exciting emphasis of the combined meeting will be on presentations of original research in the areas of educational practice, basic science, clinical science, and health services. Platform presentations will be augmented with highly interactive poster sessions, where audience members can talk directly with the individuals about their research.

In addition, many popular experts from previous RAC and ACC meetings will be involved in the plenary presentations, breakouts, and small workshop sessions.

Please complete the registration form below or register online, as soon as possible, as space will be limited. Program information, as it develops, will be updated on the conference website, www.c3r.org/accrac/ and on the Association of Chiropractic Colleges Conference website: www.chirocolleges.com. This will be one of the most exciting scientific and educational events in chiropractic. Make plans to attend as soon as possible.
