Dr. Lonnie Martin, president elect of the New Mexico Chiropractic Association, died March 2nd from the effects of a heart attack he suffered several days earlier. Dr. Martin was 44 years-old.

Dr. Martin, a graduate of National, was named "Chiropractor of the Year" by the NMCA in 1991, and was considered influential in chiropractic legislative matters at the state level. He received his diplomate in chiropractic orthopedics in 1986.

He is survived by daughter Lauren, his mother Faye, and brother Steve.

Services were held March 6th. Memorial contributions may be made to the New Mexico Chiropractic Association, P.O. Box 36048, Albuquerque, NM 87176.
