Treating Complex Multilayered Cases, Part 2
In the
October 2009 issue of Acupuncture Today, I wrote on how to use pulse diagnosis to distinguish patterns as excess, deficiency or complex excess with deficiency. I ended that article by saying that most complex layered cases that enter the clinic will show excess/deficiency patterns affecting the liver, stomach and spleen. Our job, as herbalists, is to evaluate the various stagnation and deficiency patterns and to apply the appropriate herbal formula.

ChiroWeb Adopts Health on the Net Principles

By Editorial Staff

In 1996, the Health on the Net Foundation created a code of conduct for health-related websites to address the presentation and reliability of information. Known as HONcode, it is a set of simple, broadly-accepted rules and guidelines which helps users determine reputable health sites from questionable ones.

The HONcode addresses a number of topics, including the authority of the information being provided, data confidentiality and privacy, proper attribution of sources, transparency of financial sponsorship, and the importance of clearly separating advertising from editorial content.

After being submitted for review earlier this year, ChiroWeb.com has been approved by the foundation and now displays the HONcode seal on our web pages, letting visitors know that the site is a reliable and valid source of health information. For more information on the HONcode, visit the Health on the Net Foundation's website at www.hon.ch.
